Carol L. (Snook) Jacobs, 83, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022.

She was born April 7, 1939, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Annie (Douglas) Snook. Carol was the 13th of 15 children.

Carol attended Topeka High School. She was employed as a launderer in the dry cleaning industry for most of her life. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and fast cars in her youth. Carol played softball and was part of a bowling league for many years. She was also a “die-hard” Kansas City Chiefs Football fan. Carol was well known at Brewster Place in her final years for dying her hair and decorating her room in Chiefs colors during football season.

Carol married Robert G. Jacobs on April 7, 1978 at Highland Park United Methodist Church. She and Robert were both animal lovers and well known for the many dogs they shared over the years. Carol had no biological children but greatly enjoyed being a stepmother to Robert’s daughter, Alana Jacobs. Carol enjoyed her family and dearly loved her two grandchildren, Ryan and Corey as well as her two great-grandchildren, Lillyan and Ayla.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert on February 12, 2011 and 11 siblings.

She is survived by three sisters, Arlene Clark, Jackie Myszka and Sharon (Bill) Arndt; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Honoring Carol’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 18, 2022 at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Avenue, Topeka, Kansas.

A reception will be held at 9:00 am where the family will greet friends. A graveside inurnment will be held at 12:00 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66606.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brewster Place for the care and consideration they offered Carol and her family for many years.
