Dale E. Anderson, 62, of Auburn, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 1, 2022.

He was born August 5, 1959, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Jo and Rose (Viergever) Anderson. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1978. Dale attended Washburn University and received an Associate’s Degree.

Dale worked in the meat department at Dillon’s for 10 years. He later worked for Payless Shoesource as a Computer Programmer. He retired after 20 years of employment.

He was an active member at Western Hills Baptist Church, of Topeka. He enjoyed volunteering and being a part of the adult bible study groups.

Dale’s pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Dale loved hosting family gatherings and cookouts where he could spend time with them. Also in his spare time, Dale could be found outdoors working in the garden, fishing, hunting and wood working. He also had a passion for photographing nature and star gazing.

He is survived by his children, Sarah Anderson, Sherri (Brad) McCaleb, Brandon Anderson and Brady (Sarah) Anderson; grandchildren, Braden, Kaeden, Silas, Beckett, Beckham, Eden, Jonah, Holland, Grayson, Jovie and Brynlee; his parents, Jo and Rose Anderson and brother, Jay Dee Anderson.

Dale’s family will greet friends from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Dove Southwest Funeral Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Kansas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, July 11, 2022 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. In Dale’s honor, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
