James W. Glass, 76, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022.

He was born January 7, 1946, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Robert J. and Helen M. (Haanstad) Glass. He graduated from Lakeville (MI) High School in 1964 and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Jim was employed by the Michigan, New York and Kansas Conferences of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for a total of 36 years, retiring in 2012.

Mr. Glass was a member of the Topeka Wanamaker Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Jim married Sharon K. Curtis on August 27, 1967 in Owosso, Michigan. She survives, along with his son Brian Glass (Shari) of Boone, North Carolina, daughters Maria Barbosa (Roberto) of Olathe and Lynette Sparks (Jeff) of Shawnee; grandchildren Micah, Hannah, Sarah, Ella, and John Glass, Gabby Barbosa, and Zachariah and David Sparks; siblings John (Teresa) Glass, Robert Glass, and Elise Parker (Curt).
