Tim was a really good person, it’s such a loss to learn of Tim’s passing. I thought I’d share a short story. When I was a junior at EHS, my mother died of cancer. Amongst the sympathy cards I received was a card and letter expressing his sympathy. Although we were classmates and school friends, we weren’t social friends. It amazed me then and over the years that a schoolmate who was 17 at the time stopped to not only get a sympathy card but took the time to send a hand-written card to me, a classmate. It not only affected me then, his act of kindness, but I’ve never forgotten it. Our class has lost a really good person.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Mark Nylen

Tim was always a super nice guy and a really good friend. I wish I had known him better later in life. He was genuinely a great person overall. I grew up with him since age 5 at Joy Elementary School and we always had a great time whenever we were together. Tim, Dan Berg and myself were very tight when we were young, like a distant brothers. I can honestly say we never said a bad word towards each other.
But Tim stood out and may have been the most naturally gifted athlete I've ever known.
Any sports came easy for him at an early age on the playgrounds and later in life in junior high and high school.
I was shocked at his arm strength, speed and smarts. I have vivid memories of being competitive one on one with him, Luckily we seemed to always be on the same teams. It was an honor to watch him on courts or fields. Overall, He made me better....
This is a tough loss and hard to accept. My condolences to his family. -Rest in Peace Tim- Friends Forever. Rick Luft

On behalf of the staff at Farmers Insurance Group, I’d like to extend my deepest condolences to Victoria Cole and family. Victoria often shared what a remarkable man her dad Tim was and how much he meant to her and so many others. We have been blessed to work with his daughter who shares his love for life and for people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

From day one at Briar Cliff meeting your son was a blessing because I got to meet you and Michelle. I can’t thank god enough for giving me that opportunity Tim. You were taken way too soon from all of us. You were like a second father to me when I lived in the Midwest, taking me in for the holidays when I couldn’t go back home.. it meant the world to me. The golf trips, thanksgiving, the KU basketball game and even watching college football over those breaks. Just want to say thank you and that I love you Tim. Rest easy and I’ll see you upstairs down the road. Thank you for bringing a lifelong brother to my life as well.
