In Memory Of
Brooklyn Marie Peery

Brooklyn Marie Peery, a vivacious and loving 8 year-old, passed away on October 8th, 2022.

Brooklyn was the first child born to proud parents Andrew and Amber Peery on October 19th, 2013 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was the joy of her parents' lives, and melted many hearts with her big brown eyes and smile that could light up a room.

After living in Virginia for 3 years, she then moved to Key West, Florida in 2017. Brooklyn loved the warm weather, swimming in the pool, playing on the beach, and splashing in the ocean. Though she could be shy at first, Brooklyn made many friends wherever she went. Many of the friends she met through her travels became like family.

In 2020, Brooklyn moved to her parents’ hometown of Topeka, Kansas, where she was currently a third-grader at Jay Shideler Elementary School. Brooklyn had many friends at school and loved all of her teachers. This year was special because she got to go to school with both of her younger siblings, Brantley and Carrington. She took pride in being an amazing sister and friend. Brooklyn loved spending time with her many family members here in Topeka, especially her cousins.

Brooklyn was an animal lover from the day she was born, and appreciated all living creatures, even insects. She was an avid softball player, basketball player, and gymnast, and could often be found practicing her contortion moves and dance moves, or coming up with an artsy business scheme that would make her and her friends money. She loved camping, climbing trees, and just being outdoors.

Brooklyn is survived by her mother and father, Andrew and Amber Peery, her brother, Brantley Peery, her sister, Carrington Peery, and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her tremendously. She was smart, kind, courageous, and made a positive impact on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and cherished in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Brooklyn’s Life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 14, 2022 at Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service time.
