Roberta M. “Pat” Anthony, 89, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022.

She was born July 20, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Arthur M. James and Lola Mae (Pease) Butterfield.

Pat graduated from high school in 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She furthered her education by attending Amarillo College in Amarillo, Texas where she received her Nursing Degree in 1972.

Pat worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in various healthcare facilities. She was a Shift Supervisor for approximately 10 years.

Mrs. Anthony was a member of The Welcome Wagon in Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1990. She was a resident of Topeka and had also resided in Valley Falls, Kansas, Mountain Home, Arkansas, Willow Springs, Illinois and Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Pat married Harold K. Anthony on September 17, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2014.

Survivors include her children, D. Kay Kimball of Topeka, Kansas, Vicki L. (Richard) Malloy of Renton, Washington, Jean A. (James) Tooley of Louisburg, Kansas, David S. (Rose) Anthony of Barnum, Minnesota and Krista L. (Gary) Boldra of Topeka, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Carol A. (Danny) Saint and Buddy Butterfield both of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ivalene Sue Moore.

Pat enjoyed playing Bridge. She and Harold would travel to tournaments playing Bridge for Master Points and was an avid reader.

Honoring Pat’s request cremation is planned. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, Kansas 66610. Inurnment of Pat’s cremated remains will take place in Perry, Oklahoma at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
