We just received the sad news of Joyce passing. So many memories of high school and double dating. We stayed in touch with Christmas cards yearly. She so very deadly loved her family. May God bless you and may you find comfort in memories. - Janiece and Ken Spencer

Jerry, so sorry to see you lost your wife Joyce. Looks like you were a big winner to had married her! Beautiful lady! R.I.P. Joyce .

Joyce always LOVED to remind me of my different "name changes". We worked together for many years at Whitson when I went through a series of "name changes" (well, divorces). She would greet me with " Well, HELLO there Chris Davis, I mean Templin, I mean Parker". We both would break out in merry laughter at it. I mean, you have to when stuff happens to you like that. It was all in such good fun and I loved her passionately for that. We retired from Whitson the same year and enjoyed all the fun together that goes along with that honor and blessing. Rest in Peace, dear Joyce.

I had just moved to Topeka and joined Trinity right before Joyce’s stroke, but found her to be such a kind lady with a beautiful smile! I sat near them once Gerard started bringing her to church, and she always reached out with a hand to say hello. I was drawn to her from the very beginning—she will surely be missed!

Joyce would always talk about babysitting me when I was a baby. Sorry for your loss Gerald and Shelly! Prayers going your way!

Joyce was a very special person. She was so helpful when I substituted in the Hearing Impaired classroom at Whitson. I got to know her daughter. Her granddaughter and my daughter were friends. Lots of love to the family.

Gerald and family,
How much I enjoyed working along side of Joyce in Bible school, the Church Nursery
And the Learning Center at Trinity. I enjoyed her wit and respected her abilities when working with the children. She was wonderful to have as a team partner. Long ago she
Was mentoring Keelan and I remaine very much appreciative. I send prayers for you all as you adjust, yet I am glad Joyce is beyond restraints and can be free
And at ease with the Lord.

We always had such good times at “Sticks and Strings”class. She was always smiling and full of good cheer. She will be missed by many. My sincere sympathy to her loving family.

In memory of my friend Joyce,
Joyce was a wonderful friend to both of us. We played cards together a lot and got pizza when we played. We beat Lonnie and Gerald a lot! Lol
We sat and ate at cruise nights and she tried to teach me netting there as well and my washcloth had a large hole in the middle when I finished. Last of my netting experience. Joyce loved to net, and made wonderful things for her granddaughter Allison and her daughter Shelly, and also gave away caps to newborn babies at hospitals. Wish I had something she made. They were wonderful and she enjoyed making them.
Joyce helped me with three garage sales and did most of the work. She was so helpful for such a small dynamite!
I love Joyce as my friend and I will always remember her in my heart
She is with the Lord now and Gerald will
miss her a lot. There was so much love between them.
Love, Coleen and Lonnie Remington
Ps. So much to list about my friend and pranks we played on our other two cruise friends on their birthdays.
Gerald we will be there in spirit Tues but that’s the day I am having back surgery.
Will they make a disk of her memorial? If so would love to see it.
~ Coleen and Lonnie Remington - December 2, 2022
