Alma E. Augustus, 73, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. She was born June 29, 1949 in Wamego, the daughter of Melvin and Mary (Bradley) Holford.
Alma graduated from Topeka High School in 1968. She had resided in Topeka since 1951. She was employed in the food industry before retiring in 2014.
Alma E. Holford married Arthur Augustus, Jr., on November 5, 1987 in Lawrence, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2019.
Survivors include two daughters; Mary Driver and fiancée, Joseph Marshall, Bessie Hawkins and fiancée Paul Carey, three grandsons; Wesley Downing, Ryan Downing, Kyle Downing and one granddaughter; LaRece Nave and her siblings, James Holford and Kimberly Holford.
Cremation has taken place and as per Alma’s wishes, no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Alma Cemetery.
