Wanda Faye Pittman, 78, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023.

She was born December 19, 1944, in White City, Kansas to Thomas Riley and Ruby Faye (Mewhinney) Setty.

Wanda was a homemaker. She also held positions working as a Title Clerk for various auto dealerships in Kansas and worked in the cafeteria for Burlingame Schools.

Wanda married Ruford “Russ” DePriest and later divorced. She remarried on July 18, 1974 to Earl Pittman. Earl preceded her in death on September 27, 2003. Wanda and Russ reunited and were life mates. Russ preceded her in death on April 24, 2017.

Survivors include her children, Sherry Heisler of Vassar, KS, Donald (Debbie) DePriest of Topeka, KS, Mark (Christina) DePriest of Lawrence, KS and Renee Masters of Carbondale, KS; grandchildren, Sierra, Markus, Brett and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Kaylee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Robert “Bob” Mast.

Wanda enjoyed country music and spending time with her family.

Honoring Wanda’s request, cremation is planned. A Celebration of Wanda’s Life will be held 10:00 am Friday, January 20, 2023 at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service time.

Inurnment of Wanda’s cremated remains will take place at Burlingame Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2020 W. 89th St., Suite 100, Leawood, KS 66206.
