She was born January 9, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of George W. and N. Ruth (Gassett) Champney, Sr. She was a 1962 graduate of Highland Park High School and received a bachelor's degree from Washburn University in 1983.
Suzie was employed as a Therapist/Senior Specialist for the State of Kansas until retiring.
She was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Topeka.
Suzie married Joe T. Randol on February 13, 1963, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1980. Survivors include two sons, Randy Randol and Jody Randol of Topeka; three grandchildren, J.D., Dustin and Joden Randol; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Lucas; two sisters, Elaine Champney and Patricia Marvin; and her brother, George "Kicker" Champney, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Suzie loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors, people and was an avid artist.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the Dove Cremations & Funerals, Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka.
A funeral ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Salvation Army Church, 1320 SE 6th, Topeka, KS 66607. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Church.
