Jane Louise Rickerson, 76, of Topeka, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023.

Jane was born August 31, 1946, in Big Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Homer Calvert and Emagene Maxine (Houghton) Rickerson. She graduated from Assaria Rural High School in 1964. She furthered her education attending Fort Hays and Hutchison Community College.

Jane worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer prior to her retirement. She was a member of Town and Country Christian Church of Topeka.

Survivors include her brother, Jack (Judy) Rickerson of Topeka, KS and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edwin Rickerson and son, Geoffrey Springer.

Jane enjoyed reading and taking walks outdoors. She was humble, well organized and a beautiful spirited women.

Honoring Jane’s request, cremation is planned. No services have been scheduled at this time. A Celebration of Jane’s Life will be planned at a later date in the Spring of 2023. Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610 is assisting the family.
