Marilyn K. Hinchman, 78, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023. She was born March 19, 1944 in Topeka, the daughter of DeLaskie Dean and Audrey (Fleisher) Whitwam.

Marilyn graduated from Highland Park High School. She was employed as an Office Assistant for the State of Kansas for 22 years before retiring. She volunteered for the NICU at Stormont-Vail Hospital.

Marilyn married Royce W. Hinchman on November 9, 1963 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include children, Dawn R. (Warren) Fink of Topeka, Dina M. Hinchman of Topeka, two grandchildren, Kain, Ivy and her three siblings, Fred Whitwam of Topeka, Jack Whitwam of Maple Hill and Roxie Anderson of Rich Hill, Missouri.

Marilyn was preceded in death by one son, Darin D. Hinchman and two siblings, Beverly Nelson and LaLonnie Large.

A Celebration of Marilyn's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Lower Plains Region (Kansas Chapter) PO Box 772395, Detroit, Michigan 48277 or to the Stormont-Vail Foundation / Children’s Endowment, 1500 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
