Donald D. "Don" Dew, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born August 22, 1930 in Eskridge, Kansas, the son of Ralph L. and Wilma I. (Christian) Dew.

Don graduated from Highland Park High School. He served as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War where he earned the Defense Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Korean Defense Medal, the United States Service Medal and the Meritorious Medal. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for 38 years before retiring. Don was a member of Highland Heights Christian Church where he served as past treasurer and later joined the Walnut View Christian Church, served as past-president of the Highland Park Junior High School PTA, served as secretary of a Lake Shawnee Men's Golf Club League, a long-time member of the Santa Fe Singers and the Santa Fe Band where he played and served as the Drum Major, the Moose Lodge, and the Croco Square Dancing Club. He enjoyed maintaining his yard, playing golf and participating in the National Senior Olympics Golf where he obtained several medals.

Don married Evelyn E. Drinnen on November 13, 1954. She preceded him in death on June 14, 1980. He later married Rosabelle M. Rinehart on May 13, 2000. She survives. Other survivors include children, Larry (Debora) Dew of Fall River, Kansas, Rebecca (Mike) Lolley of Fall River, Kansas, Greg (Cheryl) Dew of Topeka, Sheryl (Robert) Franzke-Doole of Topeka, twelve grandchildren, Justin, Amie, Chantel, Meagan, Courtney, Emily, Gregory, Michael, David, Courtney, Sidney and Spencer, thirteen great-grandchildren, Ayla, Isayah, Malachi, Rehema, Jonathan, Ilya, Benjamin, Donovan, Oceana, Evelyn, David, Stevie and Jessie, and his sister, Carole Brown.

Don was also preceded in death by three sisters.

Don will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Walnut View Christian Church. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will take place in Eskridge Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Walnut View Christian Church, 3634 SE 37th St., Topeka, Kansas 66605 or to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
