Patricia “Jill” Floyd, 84, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

She was born February 24, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of William Huffman and Myrtle Evelyn (Horne) Strahan. She was a graduate of Topeka High School and attended Kansas State University and Washburn University.

Jill was an Assistant Manager of Myron Green Restaurant and later worked for AT&T in Topeka before retiring on June 1, 1992.

Jill married Galen E. “Old Sarge” Floyd on January 7, 1983 in Miami, OK. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2018. Survivors include her step-daughter, Brenda Fellman of Topeka; her grandchildren, Brooke and Myles; her niece, Frances Hardzinski; and her brother-in-law, John Hardzinski.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Judy K. Hardzinski.

Jill enjoyed her coffee club with friends in Topeka.

Honoring Jill’s request, cremation is planned and no services are scheduled. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
