Eugene R. "Gene" Earling, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at a Topeka care facility. He was born September 10, 1933 in Dundalk, Maryland, the son of Roy and Lena Earling.
Gene graduated from Kenwood High School located in Baltimore, Maryland in 1953. He was employed by Crown Cork & Seal in Baltimore for 42 years before retiring.
Gene married Barbara Linkous on November 14, 1954 in Baltimore. She survives. Other survivors include children, Gary E. (Tracy) Earling of Topeka, Sharon (Robert) Eberle of Baltimore, Maryland, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A private Celebration of Gene's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
