Michael Steven Pfannenstiel, 72, of Auburn, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 8, 1951, in Topeka, KS, the son of Leonard and Nellie (Greg) Pfannenstiel. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1969.

Michael was employed by Goodyear Tires for 39 years, until his retirement.

Michael married Cynthia Davis-Lira on September 19, 1983 in Topeka.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia, children, Ken (Mindi) Pfannenstiel, Lisa Pfannenstiel, Rebecca Lira, David M. (Anna) Lira, and Nathaniel (Jamie) Lira, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and his sister, Linda Pfannenstiel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray Mabon, and grandson, Riley Pfannenstiel.

Michael loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed all things sports.

Honoring his wishes, Michael was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00am at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66614.
