Bert Garnett Green, 73, of Topeka, passed away unexpectantly on November 17, 2023, at his home located at Kansas Neurological Institute, KNI. Bert lived at KNI for 58 years.

Bert was proceeded in death by his parents, Herbert Green (6/26/82) and Esther (Riley) Green (12/16/15). He was also proceeded in death by his fraternal twin, Evelyn Green (5/28/20) who lived in proximity at KNI. They visited each other often. Then the following year, his brother Herb Green (2/21/21) passed away. He leaves behind many staff at KNI that he formed relationships with along with his guardian, Karen Smith.

Bert really enjoyed doing outdoor type of activities like picnics, nature walks, and outdoor concerts. His favorite music to listen to was jazz, gospel, and quiet type music. He also enjoyed going to a movie as he enjoyed the popcorn and soda.

A visitation service is scheduled for November 21 between 1:00 and 3:00 P.M. at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka. The graveside service will be held at Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, KS at 1:30 P.M. on November 27.
