Scott Lawrence Berridge, 72, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 surrounded by his family in his home.

He was born September 7, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Scott and Bonnie (Terry) Berridge.

Bonnie later married Richard Parton whom Scott embraced as his father. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1969. He later attended Washburn University majoring in Political Science.

Scott was employed by BNSF Railroad for 23 years, until his retirement.

Scott married Candyce Ragan on July 15, 1989 in Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include step-daughter, Elizabeth Deay Berridge (Mike Carman), grandchildren, Henry, Harrison and Ada Carman, father, Richard Parton, brother, Steven Parton, sister, Shayne Berridge, and several aunts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Berridge, mother, Bonnie Parton, aunts, Edna Berridge and Donna Berridge, and uncle, Gayle Vernon.

Scott enjoyed reading and spending time with his grandchildren.

Scott was cremated. A private family gathering will be held at a later time.
