Mabel Majors, 92, of Topeka, passed away October 6, 2012. She was born in in Colorado Springs, CO on March 25, 1920, to Mary and Edwin Howells, and was preceded in death by seven siblings and by William Majors, her husband of 57 years. Mabel is survived by her sons, Bill (Betty) of Meriden, KS and Jack (Chris) of Canon City, CO, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The dedicated staff at Atria cared for her during the last seven years, and she was blessed with the service of the wonderful nursing staff at Plaza West during her last several days. Per her request, no service is planned; she will be joining her husband in the Rose Garden at The Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jefferson West Education Foundation in care of USD 340 in Meriden, Kansas.
