Anna Marie Lewis

Anna Marie Lewis, 82, of Topeka, passed away at Stormont Vail Hospital on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was surrounded by her family.
She was born January 19, 1941, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Homer H. and Opal E. (Duggan) Myer.
She graduated from Chanute High School with the Class of 1959.
Anna was employed by the State of Kansas as an Office Manager for the Legislative Post Audit Division for 25 years prior to her retirement.
Anna married Charles J. "Chuck" Lewis in 1961. They later separated.
Survivors include her best friend, Chuck Lewis of Topeka; daughter, Rene' (Michael) Brown of Topeka; grandchildren, Tanner Brown and Kaelyn Brown; great-grandchildren, Ana'i and Montez; nephews, Lance (Melissa) Alexander of El Dorado and Kevin (Amy) Zirjacks of Olathe; niece, Amy Kennedy of Chanute and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Zirjacks-Farrell and Deborah Humphries and a granddaughter, Angel Brown.
Anna enjoyed making pottery, many pieces of which she gave to her friends and family. She loved being outdoors, gardening and traveling. Anna was an amazing mother and friend who enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family.
Honoring Anna's request cremation is planned. A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
