Benjamin T. "Ben" Perrin, 73, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born June 14, 1952, in Amery, Wisconsin, the son of Richard E. and Eleanor E. (Marschall) Perrin.

Ben graduated from High School in the Philippines. He served in the U.S. Army as a cook and then as a firefighter. His career spanned 21 years, 11 months and 18 days before retiring with a rank of SP4. He later retired from the USDA following 10 years of employment. He was a member of the American Legion Capitol Post #1.

Ben married Debra (Deb) Heston on February 9, 2015, in Cassville, Missouri. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Eleanor Perrin and his siblings, Robert (Juliet) Perrin and Pattee (Gary) Stensgaard all of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Also surviving are his brother-in laws, Kenneth (Sue) Heston, Purdy, Missouri, Paul Heston, Exeter, Missouri and sister-in-law, Cindy Heston, Jenkins, Missouri.

Ben enjoyed fishing with his friend Larry, tinkering in his shop, and traveling to Southwest Missouri, Cheyenne, Wyoming or Turtle Lake, Wisconsin where he considered his home. Ben’s pride and joys were their 4 Fur Kids, Piper Rose, Kenzie Marie, Marshall Gene and Ms. Wealthy Wiggles.

Ben was preceded in death by his father Richard, his brother Scott, and his first wife, Chong.

Ben will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), PVA National Processing Center, P.O. Box 758589, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8542.
