Beryl Duane Stewart, 85, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026.

He was born December 29, 1940, in Abilene, Kansas, the son of George “Stubb” and Christina (Crisco) Stewart. He grew up in the Talmage, Kansas community and was a 1958 graduate of Dickenson County Community High School. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

Beryl was a sales person for WIBW Television and later owned and operated Tobin Lawn and Landscape in Topeka and Auburn Feed Company in Auburn, KS until retiring.

Beryl married Carolyn Sue Mayden on August 25, 1963 in Abilene, Kansas. She survives in Topeka. Other survivors include his son, James (Kimberly) Stewart of Frankfort, KS; six grandchildren; his great-granddaughter; and his son-in-law, Dan Thomas of Burlingame, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Stacie Thomas in 2021; and his brother.

Beryl loved spending time with his family. His earlier enjoyments included fishing, hunting, and later in life, raising cattle, horses and his pets.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned. No services are planned. Private family inurnment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Dickinson County, Kansas at a later date.

Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
