Bobby D. "Bob" Clearwater

Bobby D. "Bob" Clearwater, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026. He was born December 29, 1936 in Osawatomie, Kansas, the son of John W. and Nettie H. (Cox) Clearwater.

Bob graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic in England. Bob was employed by Halsey Tevis and KBS Construction as a Carpenter and was a member of Local Union No. 1445.

Bob married Evelyn L. Smith on January 13, 1962 in Osawatomie. She survives. Other survivors include children, Patty (Mike) Murphy of Topeka, Kathy (Robert) Rice of Topeka, Stacey (Jerry) Cowan of Ozawkie, Kansas, seventeen grandchildren, Kristin, Chelsea, Jessica, Samantha, Paul, Emily, Marshall, Lexi, Hailey, MaKayla, Chance, Hayden, Nicole, Samantha, Rachel, Levi, Lester, twelve great-grandchildren, and his sister, Pearl DeVore of Lenexa, Kansas.

Bob was preceded in death by siblings, Wanda, Rena, Charles, and his grandson, Randy.

Bob will lie in state from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2026 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Jefferson County Humane Society, 15295 K4 Hwy, Valley Falls, Kansas 66088.
