Brad G. Binfield, 66, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, February 13th, 2026. He was born December 30th, 1959 in Grand Island, Nebraska, the son of Gayle S. and Eleanor E. (Lambrecht) Binfield.

Brad graduated from Adams Central High School in Hastings, Nebraska and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Economics from the University of Nebraska. He was employed by the Payless Shoe Corporation for over 20 years and later the Union Pacific Railroad for an additional 13 years before retiring. Brad was also an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka.

Brad was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting with friends and family members, hiking, camping, and kayaking with his wife Jenny. He also enjoyed hunting for collectables and spent countless hours searching store shelves with his children for rare and valuable finds. He had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor and notoriously loved a lively debate.

Brad met Jenny Seeley in high school before becoming his high school sweetheart. They later married on April 19th, 1980, in Juniata, Nebraska. She survives in Topeka.

Other survivors include his daughter, Sarah (Chuck) Kirmse, as well as one grandson, Jacob Kirmse, both of Topeka. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeff (Pam) Binfield of Wood River, Nebraska, Debra (Doug) Ablott of Inland, Nebraska, Mike (Barb) Binfield of Doniphan, Nebraska, Mitch (Sharon) Binfield of Grand Island, Nebraska and Kelly Binfield of Elgin, Texas.

Brad was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Bradley "Jake" Binfield, on January 27th, 2011.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 23rd, 2026 at St. John's Lutheran Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private inurnment will take place in Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Juniata, Nebraska at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore St., Topeka, Kansas 66606 or to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
