Carol Ann Longbine

July 8, 1945 — September 4, 2025

Topeka

Carol Ann Longbine, a beloved member of her community, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on September 4, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Born on July 8th, 1945, in Passaic, New Jersey, Carol made a significant impact through her love and dedication to family and friends.

Graduating from William Boone High School in Orlando, Florida, Carol moved to Abilene, Kansas in 1972, quickly becoming an integral part of her new home. After moving to Abilene, she worked as a bookkeeper for Farm Management Service and Abilene-Reflector Chronicle. She later retired from Abrasive Blast Systems. Carol loved her career and the people she had the opportunity to meet along the way.

Her joyful spirit shone bright in everything she did; family was her top priority, and she relished every moment spent with them. Holidays held a special place in her heart, as they brought her family and friends together, a time during which she would often share laughter and love while watching her grandchildren enjoy sports and other events.

Carol was a true people person, known for her kindness and generosity. She could always be found lending a helping hand to anyone who asked, and her welcoming nature meant she never met a stranger. Her circle of friends was cherished, highlighted by her participation in the Bunco and TOPPS groups, and she found solace and community at Saint Andrews Catholic Church.

She is survived by her three children, Teddy Curran (Jill) of McPherson, Kansas, Joyce Lyne of Topeka, and Donna Casebier of Topeka. Carol's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Ryan (Allison), Rhea (Jason), Greg, Dani Jo (Trent), and Cody, as well as her great-grandchildren, Owen, Liam, Sophia, Addy, Avery, and Cash. She was immensely proud of her family and their accomplishments.

Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Macaluso Jr., and her parents, Joseph Macaluso Sr. and Lucy Cronk. Her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her.

A well-loved figure in her community, Carol Ann Longbine leaves behind many cherished memories and an inspiring legacy of love, dedication, and hard work. She will be dearly missed.

Memorial Contribution in lieu of flowers may be given to Make a Wish Foundation of KS/MO or in honor of her most cherished holiday, please adopt a family at Christmas time.
