Caroline Viola Maria Hummer, 99, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at a Wathena, Kansas care facility. She was born November 30, 1924 in Washington County, Kansas, the daughter of Herman R. and Dorthea A. (Tiemeyer) Kuehn.
Caroline attended Clay Center public schools. She had resided in the Meriden and Topeka communities for many years. She and her husband, Marvin owned and operated a bar in Meriden for several years.
Caroline married Marvin Hummer. They later divorced.
Survivors include nieces, Carol Humes, Sharon Stringfellow and Janet Long and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Caroline was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruben Kuehn, Neal Kuehn and Vernon Kuehn.
A private Celebration of Caroline's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
