Charlotte Ann Weddle

June 19, 1951 — May 19, 2025

Topeka

Charlotte Ann Weddle, our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 19, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. She spent her last few days in her favorite place, outside in a courtyard, surrounded by family and her twelve active grandchildren.

Charlotte was born on June 19, 1951, in Gardner, Kansas, and grew up in Wellsville, Kansas. She was a graduate of Wellsville High School in 1969 and went on to earn her degree from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, in 1973. She dedicated almost thirty years of her life to nurturing young minds at Children's Day Out preschool. Her passion for education and her love for children shone brightly throughout her career, making lasting friendships along the way.

Her educational background laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to family and community. She was patient and selfless, embodying a spirit of love that extended beyond her immediate family to all who knew her. Charlotte was a devoted wife to Ken for nearly 50 years. She was a pillar of strength and support for him and their family. Charlotte was the heart of the family, always the first to show up when someone needed help or encouragement.

As a mother and grandmother, Charlotte found joy in bringing her family together as often as possible. She took great pride in cheering on her children and grandchildren in their various activities, including soccer, baseball, golf, basketball, volleyball, football, cross country, cheer, and dance recitals. Her well known love for a good cup of extra hot decaf coffee, was passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Charlotte's legacy includes her deep faith in God, her unwavering support for her family, and her ability to light up any room with her beautiful smile. She has left behind her husband, Ken; daughters Annie (Lee) Frazier, Callie (Brad) Kramer, and Abbey (Cory) Griess; son Colby (Megan) Weddle; mother Sally Barnett; brother Greg (Linda) Barnett; sister Tami (Jeff) Spencer; and her loving grandchildren: Landon, Evie, Ella, Adeline, Finn, Lindy, Briggs, Willamina, George, Heath, Graham, and Beckett.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her father "Barney" Barnett and her in-laws Vernon and Margie Weddle. She will be remembered as a loving, selfless, and patient individual whose influence touched the lives of many, demonstrating the power of love, family, and faith. Her memory will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be profoundly missed.
