Daniel Allen "Dan" Neill

Daniel Allen “Dan” Neill, 71, of Topeka, finally defeated his long battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 as he was welcomed home by Jesus.

Dan was born in Topeka to Benjamin and Mary Lou Neill on July 2, 1953. They have both preceded him in death.

Dan is survived by siblings Ben (Penny) Neill and Cindy (Art) Stepp; his sons Jesse (Heather) Neill and Ryan (Cindy) Neill; as well as 8 grandchildren.

Dan served Topeka Fire Department with great pride for 31 years and retired as Deputy Chief in 2004.

A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held at Grace Point Church; 5400 SW Huntoon St., Topeka, KS 66604 on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Cindy Neill officiating.

Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

Dan’s final requests were for memorial contributions to be made to Local #83 Honor Guard c/o the Topeka Fireman’s Credit Union, 619 SE Rice Rd., Topeka, Kansas 66607 or to the Paxico/McFarland United Methodist Church, 305 Newbury Ave., Paxico, Kansas 66526.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
