Daniel Edward Wathen, 70, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
Daniel was born December 17, 1953 in Topeka, the son of Thomas C. and Luella (Roberts) Wathen.
Daniel graduated from Highland Park High School and attended Washburn University. He was self-employed prior to retiring in December 2015.
Daniel married Cheryl M. Mayer on September 12, 1998. She survives Other survivors include children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother.
A private Celebration of Daniel's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
