David Lee Gibbs

David Lee Gibbs, age 61, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on June 16, 2026.

David was born on November 4, 1964, in Topeka, Kansas, to Zelda (Manis) and Dale Gibbs.

David served in the United States Army and later retired from Goodyear. He was a loving father, proud grandfather, hard worker, and a funny person. He enjoyed riding his bike, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, participating in skeet shooting, skydiving, and spending time with his pet bird, Mr. Pickles. One of the roles he especially enjoyed was coaching his daughters’ Little League teams, and creating memories his family will always cherish.

He will be remembered for his humor, his work ethic, and the love he had for his family.

David is survived by his loving partner, Jeff; his spouse, Gale; his three daughters, Breanna, MacKenzie, and Alisha; his grandchildren, Atlas, Orion, and Nyx Norah; his mother, Zelda Gibbs-Fiest; and his brothers, Jerry and Kenny.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Gibbs.

In accordance with David’s wishes, cremation is planned. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

David was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
