Deborah A. "Debbie" McKeever

Deborah A. “Debbie” McKeever, 72, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at a Topeka hospital. She was born May 15, 1953 in Topeka, the daughter of Jay and Virginia (Clay) Bayless.

Debbie graduated from Highland Park High School. She was employed by Fidelity State Bank in bookkeeping for 30 years before retiring.

Debbie married Steven McKeever on July 1, 1980 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2006.

Survivors include her children, Stephanie D. (Nathan) McKeever-Stinebaugh of Carbondale, Dusty Kuhn of Topeka, John (Stacie) McKeever of Circleville, five grandchildren, Xavier, Stevie, Garrett, Wyatt and Jacob, her siblings, Steve (Brenda) Bayless, Todd Bayless, and Joni Laramee and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025 at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, Kansas 66506.
