Dennis E. Flanagan

Dennis E. “Denny” Flanagan, 83, of Berryton, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024.

He was born August 19, 1941, in Overbrook, Kansas, the son of Clarence and Frances (Kraus) Flanagan. 

Dennis was employed by the Hall Lithographing & Econo Print for many years until retiring.

Dennis married Linda Hackett on August 20, 2004. She survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Tonya Flanagan of Topeka; six grandchildren, Ashley Gill of Atchison, KS, Amanda (Michael) Finney of Texas, Shayley Lust and her fiancé, Michael of Lawrence, KS, Sydney Lust (Jonte) of Topeka, Brandon Flanagan of Topeka and Breanne Flanagan of Topeka; three great-grandchildren, Owen Finney of Texas, Lachlan Finney of Texas and Quinn Munoz of Topeka; his sister, Cleta (Don) Hopkins of Denver, CO; and his brother, Gary (Brenda) Flanagan of Topeka. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his two sons, Randy and Ryan Flanagan; and three sisters, Violet Moore, Shirley Fitzgerald and Janice Dickinson. 

Dennis loved his family. He enjoyed auctions, antiquing, his dogs, tinkering and a collector of all. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and KU Basketball fan. 

Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Reynold Lodge at Lake Shawnee in Topeka. Dove Cremation & Funerals, Southeast Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
