Diana Dee Fisher

Diana D. Fisher, 89, of Topeka, Ks. passed away Tuesday, April 29th, 2025.

Diana was born April 9, 1936 in Topeka, Ks. She was the daughter of Paul A. And Pearl (Cooper) Day.

Diana graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1954, where Diana met her future husband Frank Fisher. Diana then attended Clark’s School of Business and graduated and worked for a little while before starting a family and becoming a homemaker most of her life.

Diana married Frank A Fisher on October 22, 1955 in Topeka, Ks. and were married 63 years until Frank’s death November 25th 2018.

Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents, two sisters and six brothers and a daughter in-law Elizabeth Fisher.

Survivors include four children, a son Steven Fisher (Elizabeth), daughter Cindy Zimmerman (Bill), daughter Susan Fisher and a son Tim Fisher (Pam Griego). Diana and Frank also had four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, all of which were loved very much.

Diana was a very artistic, crafty and gifted lady. Hobbies included decorating, entertaining, cooking, sewing, gardening, playing cards, her women’s groups etc. Quite the hostess at holidays which made for many memories. A lot of her time was spent with family, siblings, niece and nephews and friends and toting her children to all of their many involvements and functions.

Diana, Frank and family were members of Seabrook United Church of Christ and later Frank and Diana joined First Christian Church where they were very involved at until their health issues in later years. Diana was involved in several different Women’s Fellowship groups and Circle.

A Memorial Ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Southwest Dove Chapel at 3700 Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS. A private interment of the cremated remains will be held at a later date for immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorial contributions be made to Midland Care of Topeka and be made in her name.
