Diane Baird Raymer

Diane Baird Raymer, 91, of Topeka, passed away at her home on December 29, 2023. Diane was born on March 31, 1932 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Benjamin and Laura (Reed) Baird. She was raised in Wichita, graduating from Wichita East High School in 1950.

Diane married Robert (Bob) E. Raymer of Wichita in 1952. They moved to Topeka in 1966 where she worked as a Welcome Wagon hostess and for the Kansas Legislature for 21 years.

Her greatest joy was her family, Marcia (Gary) Weckbaugh and Bob (Dea) Raymer, both of Topeka; five grandchildren Brandon (Amanda) Weckbaugh, Chelsie Weckbaugh, Cameron (Ashley) Raymer, Clay (Lauren) Raymer and Kyler (Kendra) Raymer; and seven great-grandchildren. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bob; brothers, Owen D. Baird of Benedict, KS and Robert D. Baird of Shell Knob, MO; and her sister Jo Ann Baugh of Wichita, KS.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20th at the Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel in Topeka, Kansas. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may go to the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
