Dolores L. "Susie" Barnes, 93, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Brewster Place in Topeka. She was born September 5, 1929 in Allen County, Indiana, the daughter of Raymond and Velma (Cook) Grieser.
Susie graduated from high school in Indiana. She had resided since the mid 1950's. She was a self-employed beautician. She was a member of Colly Creek Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include one son, Larry (Becci) Inks of Topeka, four grandchildren, Tamara, Joshua, Mitchell and Abigail, eight great-grandchildren and her siblings, Iris, Duane and Laura Lee.
Susie was preceded in death by her siblings, Darold, Rayma, Della and Gloria.
A Celebration of Susie's Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witneseses, Colly Creek Congregation, 4230 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, Kansas 66610. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
