Donna Jean Guerrero

Donna Jean Guerrero, 76, of Topeka, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

She was born October 30, 1949, in Winchester, Kansas, the daughter of Bob and Mary Lou (Meyer) Newman. She graduated from Valley Falls High School.

Donna was employed with the State of Kansas, Department of Revenue for many years, until retiring. She previously worked downtown for Barker’s Shoe Store.

Donna married Ignacio Guerrero in the early 80’s. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2014.

She is survived by her children, Tracy (Michael) Gamino of Topeka and Michael Larsen of Topeka; step-daughter, Shelly M. Guerrero of Topeka; grandchildren, Alexandria Gamino, Isabella Gamino (Jesse Scott), Aaron (Sarah) Guerrero, and Katelyn Addington; great grandchild, Pierson Guerrero; and sister, Nancy Guerrero.

Donna had a spunky side and enjoyed her Tequila Sunrise at Terry’s Bar and Grill. She was an avid football fan for the Denver Broncos. At home, you could usually find her watching Jeopardy or Cops.

A memorial ceremony is being planned for a later date.
