Doris M. Allen

Doris M. Allen, 98, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024. She was born January 10, 1926 in Topeka, the daughter of Frank and Vera (Gerard) Griffin.

Doris graduated from Topeka High School. She was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for over 40 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of Central Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Bill) Moore of Kansas City, Missouri, granddaughters, Delana Martin, Stephanie Perry, Grace Moore, Kelsey Perry and Carolyn Callies, and her 13 great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Alannah Callies, her twin sister, Dorothy McClelland, and her brothers, Alfred Griffin and Frank Griffin, Jr.

Doris will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
