Dorleta Woods

Dorleta Renata Woods passed away July 16, 2013, at her home. She was born December 22, 1957, in Topeka, KS. A graduate of Highland Park HS, she also took classes at University of Phoenix.

Surviving are her parents: Lorenzo Woods Sr. (Shirley), Topeka, & Dorothy Freeman, Kansas City, MO, longtime companion: Albert Winston, three kids: Sheldon Woods Sr. (Kendra), Topeka, Doshia Woods (Lindsay), New Orleans, LA, Doreen "Nikki" Woods, Topeka, four grandchildren: Ka'Shai Taylor, Alexus Woods, Sheldon Woods Jr., Aaliyah Woods.

Also surviving are four brothers: Severeno Woods (Nancy), Phoenix, AZ, Lorenzo Woods Jr., Wichita, Orlando Woods, Rueben Woods, both of Kansas City, MO, one sister: Lecia Moore (Bobby), Topeka, extended sisters: Lissie Purnell & siblings, and godsons: Nate & David Culpepper.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 2420 S.E. Bellview Ave. Topeka. She will lie in state & visitation will be held from 4-6 pm, Sunday, July 21st, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, Topeka. Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
