Dustin Davison, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, at The University of Kansas Medical Center. He was 44 years old.
He was born June 14, 1982, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Darin and Dayla (Proctor) Cripe. He graduated high school from Santa Fe Trail in 2000, and then attended Allen County Community College.
Dustin was employed by Veterans Affairs in Topeka, Kansas, for 17 years, where he worked as the Management and Program Analyst for Enrollment Case Management. Dustin took pride in his career, and truly loved his job. He received many work certificates showing appreciation for his hard work and years of service.
Dustin married Yesenia G Hernandez on September 23, 2017, in Topeka, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his parents Darin and Dayla Cripe; daughter Madison Davison; step-son Jefferson Perez-Hernandez; brother Ryan (Anne) Davison; sister Courtney Cripe; nephews Mason Davison, Trenton Davison, Leo Hawkesworth; nieces Dalayni Cripe, Haven Kohn, and MaLeena Munoz-Davison
He was preceded in death by his biological father Chris Davison; and grandparents.
Dustin loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his daughter Madison. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, video games, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, college softball, Kansas City Royals, as well as KU Jayhawks Basketball; whether the games were on TV or in person, and we absolutely cannot forget his deep love for Ketchup. It was a hobby of his to give everyone he knew nicknames, and was always joking around. He truly was such a kind and generous person.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Kansas, 66610. Cremation will follow the visitation. If you would like to join the family for a casual pot luck, feel free to bring a side to share.
