Edith M. (Miller) Wilcox, 92, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016.
Edith was born June 19, 1923, in Lawrence, KS, to George and Gertrude Miller. She married Leroy Wilcox and she helped him run golf courses around Kansas. She enjoyed taking care of her lawn and garden as well as crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her son, Russ Wilcox; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many sisters, nieces and nephews.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Wilcox, and son, David Wilcox.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604.
