Edwin R. Harrop, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at home in Phoenix, AZ. on June 5, 2022. He was two weeks from his 93rd birthday, having been born in Berryton, Kansas on June 18th, 1929. A graduate of Overbrook Rural High School in 1947, Edwin completed a 20-year career as a Com-Sec Radio Operator in the U.S. Air Force. During his assignment in Nagoya, Japan, Edwin met his bride, Tsuyako Ohara. They enjoyed a marriage of nearly 60 years, prior to her death in 2011. Edwin was passionate about ham radio, military history, and Biblical eschatology. The oldest of ten siblings, Edwin was preceded in death by brothers Russell and Robert, and sisters Oletha and Hazel. He is survived by his children, Susan, George, & Reiko, grandchildren Erin, Melissa, John, Carrie, Rachel, Charlotte, Chizuru, Keiko, & Kurumi, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and siblings Don, Carol, Ruby, Kenneth, and J. Dale.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS. Burial with military honors will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Berryton, KS.
