Eileen Jeanette Bombardier, 77, of Topeka, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025.
She was born May 15, 1948, in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Leo and Carol (Coberly) Wilcox. Her mother Carol unfortunately passed at a young age when Eileen was only 4. Her father remarried and she had a wonderful step-mother, Lorena Wilcox. She graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1966.
Eileen was employed by Topeka 501 School District for 25+ years, until retiring.
Eileen married Paul Wesley Bombardier on January 8, 1968 in Minneapolis, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gloria Buckley, her step-sister, Glenda Helton, and her step-brother, Ron Holmes.
Survivors include sons, Mark C. Bombardier and Mitchell L. Bombardier, grandchildren, Bailee Bombardier, Ella Bombardier, and Isaac Bombardier, great grandchild, Andy Bombardier, brother, Brad (Jacquie) Wilcox, her brother-in-law, Bill Buckley, and her step-brother-in-law, John Helton.
Eileen was an avid Chiefs Football and KU Basketball fan. She was a home body who enjoyed watching her soap operas. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, Kansas 66610. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in Minneapolis, Kansas.
