Eldon K. Eisenhour

Eldon K. Eisenhour, 90, of Topeka, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023. He was born April 2, 1933 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of George and Jennie Eisenhour.

In his youth, Eldon was an avid swimmer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended Butler County Junior college, served his country in the Army, and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Washburn University. He worked in the insurance industry and was employed by the Hartford Group, Trinity Universal Group, and USAA before retiring in 1998. Eldon enjoyed coaching his son's youth baseball and basketball teams. In retirement, Eldon volunteered at the Topeka Police Department and Stormont-Vail Hospital, as well as reading, listening to music, and watching sports.

Eldon married Nora Wyatt on April 25, 1964. She survives, along with sons, Eric Eisenhour and daughter-in-law Kim of Arlington, TX, and Alan Eisenhour of Round Rock, TX, and sisters Elfrieda Mannion of Ankeny, IA, and Arleen Sanstra of Broken Arrow, OK, and several nieces and nephews.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and Eldon requested there be no memorial service take place. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W 75th St., Prairie Village, Kansas 66208 or to Hospice Foundation of America, 1707 L St., NW #220, Washington, DC 20036.
