Erik M. Finch

Erik M. Finch, 38, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. He was born February 8, 1988 in Topeka, the son of Donald and Launetta (Lewis) Finch.

Erik graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and attended Washburn University. He spent his life working in the farming industry. He was a member of The Kansas and Oklahoma Steam and Gas Engine Club.

Erik loved farming, raising both crops and cattle. He made connections with friends through his love of farming and tractors. Erik found true joy in helping others. Fishing and hunting were also passions of his.

Erik married Amanda E. Burns on March 15, 2008 in Hoyt, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include his parents, grandfather, John Finch, his siblings, Jack (Jonavin) Finch and Jamie (Marcus) McFarland, nephews, Logan and Colton, and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Erik's Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Lake Shawnee Shelter House No. 3, 3916 SE Memory Point, Topeka, Kansas 66609. A light lunch will be provided.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
