Eugene Carter, Sr., 83, of Topeka, passed away August 31, 2012, at Providence Living Center. He was born July 24, 1929 at Higginsville, Missouri to Nick and Stella (Gant) Young. He graduated from Douglas High School in Higginsville, Missouri.
Eugene was employed as an automobile service station attendant before entering the US Army to serve during WWII as an infantry rifleman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Franklin and Alfred Carter. Mr. Carter was cremated. His cremated remains were inurned at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
