Gloria C. Young

Gloria C. Young, 93, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2025. She was born September 17, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Scheerd) Moultrie.

Gloria graduated from Belmont High School in Los Angeles, California in 1950 and earned an Associate’s Degree from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. She grew up in Philadelphia and had previously resided in LaVerne, California for 25 years, Covina, California, Los Angeles, California, and moved to Topeka in 2000. She was employed by McDonald Douglas and Northrop Grumman Corporation for many years before retiring.

Survivors include two children, Donald "Phillip" Stewart of Topeka, Eric Robert Stewart of Johnstown, Colorado, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sister, Phyllis Libbe.

Gloria was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Moultrie, Jr. and James Moultrie.

Services will be held in Mission Hills, California with Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary assisting the family in California. Burial will follow in San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, California.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. in Topeka is assisting the family with service arrangements.
