Hamric T. Mattocks

Hamric T. Mattocks, 85, of Carbondale, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. He was born December 29, 1939 in Navasota, Texas, the son of Floyd and Anne (Hamric) Mattocks.

Hamric graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1959. He was employed by Florence General Contractor, Inc. for over 35 years. He was a member of the Carpenters & Millwrights Local #1445.

Hamric married Dorothy L. Fisher and they had two children. They later divorced. He later married Nancy J. Curie on May 24, 1996 in Carbondale. She survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Amanda Mattocks of Topeka, one granddaughter, Tabytha, one great-grandson, Colyn and one great-great-granddaughter, Dyana.

Hamric was preceded in death by one son, Michael Mattocks and his brother, Jim "Bob" Mattocks.

Hamric will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private burial will take place in Carbondale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
