Iris Neva Harris, age 83, of Topeka, passed away on October 9, 2025. Born on March 30, 1942, she was the beloved daughter of Maxine and Eddie Galster.
Neva was a proud graduate of the Mayetta High School class of 1961. She furthered her education at Topeka Tech, where she studied accounting. For an impressive 46 years, Neva dedicated her career to the State of Kansas, providing valuable accounting services.
On July 24, 1964, Neva married Lloyd Gene Harris, Jr., affectionately known as "Butch." Their union flourished for 53 years, filled with love and companionship. Neva had a passion for archery and bowhunting, and she was a dedicated Kansas Safety Instructor for over 40 years. As a member of the T.H.E Archery Club, she and Butch shared their love for the sport by teaching archery to youth in their community.
Neva was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Edward Gene Harris, and her brother, LeRoy Galster of Holton, as well as her brother-in-law, Wally, and sister-in-law, Denise.
