James L. "Jim" Blair

James L. “Jim” Blair, 76, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. He was born February 3, 1949 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, the son of Amos and Rozella Mae (Swartz) Blair.

Jim was a Career Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

Jim married Deberia K. Berends on October 31, 1977 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Serena, three grandchildren, Michael, Coda and Crystal, twenty-one great-grandchildren and his sister, Mary Storstad of North Dakota.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will take place in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas at a later date.

The service will be live streamed at service time.
