Janet L. Reser

Janet L. Reser, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at a Topeka care facility. She was born July 7, 1936 in Topeka, the daughter of William and Mary (Beseau) Bower.

Janet graduated from Silver Lake High School. She was employed by USD 450 as a School Bus Driver for many years before retiring in the early 1990’s.

Janet married Robert Neil Reser in 1954 and were married 61 years. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2015. She was also preceded in death by one son, Dennis Reser, her daughter-in-law, Lisa Reser, one grandson, Ian Reser, one granddaughter, Chrissy Allen, and her eight siblings.

Other survivors include their children, Rickie (Sally) Reser, Dave Reser and Mark “Toad” Reser all of Topeka, five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery southeast of Topeka. Janet will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the University of Kansas Cancer Center, P.O. Box 928, Lawrence, Kansas 66044.
